U.S. Shipping Update — Effective August 29, 2025
U.S. Shipping Update — Effective August 29, 2025
The United States has suspended the de minimis duty-free treatment for most low-value imports. What this means for our U.S. customers:
-
Shipping rates: Some U.S. shipping options now include duties/taxes/fees at checkout (where available). Others may be collected by the carrier before delivery.
-
Transit times: Customs processing may add 1–5 business days to typical delivery windows.
-
Our handling times: Most orders leave our warehouse in 5–10 business days. Carapace/LMPC: 10–18 business days. Tracking is emailed on dispatch.
-
Returns: Duties/taxes collected by carriers may be non-refundable. If we cancel or refund before shipment, we’ll refund any duties we collected at checkout.
Why this changed: Per recent U.S. policy, the de minimis exemption (previously duty-free for ≤ USD $800 shipments) is being suspended on August 29, 2025. For background: see the White House executive action and Federal Register notice describing the effective date and transition details.
